Carlos is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Tulane University whose research focuses on hydroinformatics and computational hydrology. His work explores the integration of hydrologic science with modern web technologies, with an emphasis on web-based modeling, optimization, and browser-native simulations. He develops computational frameworks that operate across both client and server environments to improve the accessibility and efficiency of environmental modeling workflows.
Carlos is the lead developer of the HydroSuite ecosystem, a collection of web-based tools designed to support hydrologic modeling and analysis using modern web technologies. In addition to his research, he contributes to education and training within the hydroinformatics community. He develops instructional materials and has led training courses at events organized by IAHR and CIROH, focusing on the use of contemporary computational tools in hydrologic research and practice.
