Gi Joo Kim received his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Seoul National University, South Korea, in 2022. Before joining the ByWater Institute in September 2025, he was a postdoctoral scholar at Tufts University, MA. His research interests include water resources systems optimization, integrated modeling of global water-energy-food systems, and enhancing community resilience to human and natural stressors.
